Chafic, is the founder of Abi-Saleh Law offices and has well over 50 years’ experience working in real estate, commercial and dispute resolution fields. He specializes in the purchase and sale of high value investment properties and represents national and regional owners, co-owners, developers, and property managers in all aspects of real estate transactions involving the acquisition, financing, management, leasing and construction of commercial and residential projects. He also advises clients in the areas of litigation and corporate matters. During his career, he has represented clients in important lawsuits as plaintiffs and defendants and has structured major corporate and real estate transactions. He has degrees in Law and Economics from the University of Saint Joseph. Chafic is fluent and can work professionally in English, French and Arabic.
JIHAD ABI SALEH: MANAGING PARTNER
Jihad has over twenty years’ experience in corporate law and in resolving disputes for clients in a wide range of sectors. In particular, he specializes in disputes involving banks and foreclosure of assets. Jihad has provided legal advice and representation to entrepreneurs, banks, family offices and companies in a wide variety of complex commercial, employment and foreclosure matters, and also in proceedings before the Lebanese courts. Jihad has extensive experience in resolving disputes through negotiation. He is a trusted adviser to his clients and his approach is solution focused. He works closely with his clients to help them understand the strength of their legal position and to devise strategies to achieve the best possible outcome. Jihad holds an LLB in private law and is registered at the Beirut Bar Association since 2003.
ISSAM ABI SALEH : MANAGING PARTNER
Issam is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer adivsing entrepreneurs and high-net worth individuals on their business interests whether clients are seeking guidance on legal, commercial or personal matters.Issam undertakes the full range of corporate transactions for corporate clients, startups and entrepreneurs, advising on M&A, domestic and international structuring and equity investments.Issam also advises on a wide range of commercial and contractual arrangements, in relation to franchising, intellectual property rights, real estate, agency and distribution agreements.Issam is recognised as a skilled negotiator with an in-depth knowledge of his clients’ business requirements that enables him to achieve the best outcome. Issam qualified as BA in law from La Sagess University and is registered at the Beirut Bar Association since. Issam holds an LLB in private law and is registered at the Beirut Bar association since 2005.
JIHANE ABI SALEH: MANAGING PARTNER
Jihane specializes in all aspects of intellectual property, labor law, cross border commercial contracts, corporate and commercial law – both transactional and contentious. She regularly advises start-ups and SMEs on all areas of law. On a daily basis, Jihane supports clients on corporate matters including setting up of companies, joint ventures and overseas’ company registrations. With her in-house experience in the insurance market, Jihane has the knowledge and awareness of running regional companies from the perspectives of different stakeholders, making her ideally placed to provide commercial and pragmatic advice. Furthermore, her litigation experience covers passing off and trade mark infringement cases, shareholders’ disputes, wrongful termination lawsuits and defamation disputes. She also advises International Non-Governmental Organizations on the Lebanese and International framework of human rights and Decent Working Conditions. Jihane has a strong academic background. After completing her LLB at Saint Joseph University, she obtained an LLM with Distinction in Corporate and Commercial Law at Queen Mary University of London. Jihane qualified as a lawyer in 2009. Jihane is fluent, and can work professionally, in English, French and Arabic.
TRACY MATAR: ATTORNEY AT LAW
Tracy is an experienced lawyer advising the firm’s clients in Lebanon, Europe and Africa. she has closely worked and advised over cross border mergers under EU regulations and directives; along with structuring the corporate side of Industrial and real estate projects in Southern and central Africa. She closely works with her clients to make sure they meet the required global corporate governance and compliance standards. Tracy also accompanies family businesses in the management of their assets, their companies governance and tax optimization, investments and successions. Tracy holds an LLB in private law from St Joseph University, an MBA from ESA BUSINESS SCHOOL, an International Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance from the International Compliance Association and is a certified fraud Examiner (CFE). She’s registered as the Beirut Bar Association since 2005 and is fluent in Arabic, English and French with a full capability of working in Portuguese language.
